    The author’s construction of the critique of President Obama’s citation of TR’s words on the oval office carpet don’t lead logically to the conclusion that the quotation was applied in error.

    Further, John Kennedy wasn’t living one hundred years ago.

    John, based on the Sally’s article and my reading of the context of the quote, the quote meant something different. Yet I can’t get inside President Obama’s head to know what he was thinking when he chose the quote.

    Also, I quoted “John E. Kennedy” not “John F. Kennedy.” I’ll edit my article to make this clear. Thanks for pointing this out.
